Bounce Back

The Challenge

Redundancy is one of the most difficult moments in organisational life.

For employees, it can bring uncertainty, loss of confidence, and questions about the future. For leadership teams, it creates a responsibility that goes beyond operational decisions. How people are treated at the point of exit shapes morale across the organisation, influences employer reputation, and leaves a lasting impression on those who remain.

Many organisations want to handle layoffs responsibly. What they often lack is a structured way to support people through the transition.

Bounce Back was created to address that gap.

A group of five people sitting around a conference table in a modern office, working on laptops and discussing. The conference room has glass walls, a large flat-screen TV, and shelves with books or magazines. One person is wearing a baseball cap.
A middle-aged man with gray hair and glasses, smiling, wearing a gray zippered jacket over a white t-shirt, sitting with a relaxed posture.

Our Founder

Bounce Back was founded by Luke Cunliffe, an executive coach with more than twenty years’ experience helping individuals and organisations navigate career transitions, leadership challenges, and organisational change.

Throughout his career Luke has worked closely with professionals at every level — from senior leaders to individuals rebuilding after unexpected career disruption. Over time he saw a recurring pattern: organisations care about their people, yet when redundancies occur, the support offered is often limited to practical administration rather than meaningful transition guidance.

Bounce Back was designed to change that.

The Bounce Back Programme

Bounce Back is a structured 90-day career transition programme that helps individuals regain clarity, rebuild confidence, and move forward with purpose.

Participants receive:

  • practical guidance on navigating career transitions

  • structured weekly content and exercises

  • access to a supportive peer community

  • opportunities to ask questions and receive expert guidance

The programme focuses on helping individuals move from uncertainty to momentum, equipping them with tools that support both their professional and personal transition.

Our Belief

Change in business is unavoidable.

What remains within our control is how people are treated during that change.

Bounce Back exists to ensure that when careers take an unexpected turn, individuals are not left navigating that moment alone.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: to help organisations handle redundancy responsibly and help people move forward with confidence. Because when people land well after leaving an organisation, it reflects well on everyone involved.

“Firstly, let me say, I was very sceptical... Years of being successful, followed by unemployment for a long period of time, has led to self-doubt and low self-esteem. He helped me think differently. I would thoroughly recommend Luke and this course.”

What People Are Saying

“Luke provided invaluable executive coaching that had an immediate impact. I left feeling not only valued but also equipped with the tools and mindset to take decisive action. Luke’s belief in my potential was incredibly motivating. I … highly recommend him to anyone seeking to reset, grow, and lead with confidence.”

— CW

“At the 30-day mark of this 90-day programme, I’m gaining clarity on my values, purpose, and career goals. I’m building confidence, challenging limiting beliefs, and actively refining my personal brand and networking strategy.”

— SW

“Luke is such a down-to-earth, genuine person - he made it easy to open up and feel heard. His session left me feeling clearer, more confident, and actually interested about the process and positive about the way forwards.”

— W.B

“What I’ve found most pleasantly surprising is the support from the others on the programme. Being able to share with people who are in the same situation is brilliant. But the coaching, guidance, humour and support from Luke is what really sets this experience apart. There are a lot of courses and programmes out there, but nothing supports the whole (as this does). I genuinely feel like this is the best self-help programme I’ve encountered, it’s almost like the redundancy part of it is secondary!”

— PB

“This 90-day journey, facilitated by fabulous coach, Luke Cunliffe, is all about becoming the best version of yourself, focusing on psychological, emotional, and physical well-being. It’s been great to have something tangible to achieve or focus on each day. It’s also fantastic to feel like I’m investing in myself for the longer term.”

— EG

“Luke has been coaching me with my job search. In our first meeting he listened to me and then offered some fantastic advice. As a result, I feel so much more confident about my job search. I was impressed with his professionalism, enthusiasm and the quality of his expertise. If you need an expert in your corner to help with your job search, then he is definitely the person you want to be working with!”

— GB

The other important aspect of this programme is the community. All members have access to channels to chat and share thoughts and experiences of the job market. It’s very welcoming and there is zero pressure to comment, you can just read and absorb without commenting. Everyone is going through similar experiences and are very supportive of each other which I found to be a source of reassurance. I wish I had been on this programme in the first weeks of being made redundant to help me create a plan for my future”.

— AD

“I now feel more empowered, focused, and prepared for what’s next. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking meaningful change when returning to the workplace.”
